Abbie Eaton is a professional racing driver, Porsche Carrera Cup race winner and the first woman in motorsport history to qualify on pole position at Silverstone. With more than 20 years in competitive motorsport, she has broken barriers in male-dominated racing series while building a career defined by resilience, technical excellence and relentless performance. Known globally for her role as the test driver on The Grand Tour, Abbie combines elite track experience with mainstream recognition, making her a compelling motivational and high-performance speaker.
Gifted her first go-kart at the age of 10, Abbie quickly began competing across the UK before progressing to car racing at 15. In 2009, she won the Production Touring Car Championship with an extraordinary 15 wins from 18 races. Financial pressures forced her to step away temporarily, but her determination never wavered. With her father building a Mazda MX5, she competed intermittently before securing sponsorship to fund a full 2014 season, where she became Mazda MX5 Champion despite being the only female on a 37-car grid.
Abbie’s career accelerated from there. In 2016, she finished British GT4 Pro Am Vice Champion, earning a seat in the 2017 Blancpain GT Endurance Series, one of the world’s most competitive GT3 championships. That year, she became the first female to win in the series. She joined the W Series in 2021, served as Development Driver for Fisker Inc, competed in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe in 2023, and in 2024 made history again by becoming the first female to qualify on pole and win a Porsche Carrera Cup GB race. In 2022, she co-founded Rebelleo Motorsport to support the next generation of racing talent.
Alongside her racing achievements, Abbie became widely recognised as the test driver on The Grand Tour, working with Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, and appearing in Richard Hammond’s The Smallest Cog. As a speaker, she draws on experiences of competing at the highest level under pressure, overcoming funding challenges, thriving in male-dominated environments and sustaining elite performance in high-risk environments. Her keynotes translate motorsport precision into lessons on resilience, confidence, teamwork and marginal gains.
