Sue Garrard is a talented expert practitioner in developing sustainability strategies, best known for her work with major clients such as O2, Mars, and the NatWest Banking Group. With over 11 years of industry experience working at Unilever, Sue has played a crucial role in creating many of the important sustainability strategies that are used within workplaces across the UK. In 2010, she advanced in her career and became the Director of General Marketing, Communications, and Customer Strategy. Recognised for her profound ability to lead a team successfully, Sue became the Non-executive Director of Serious and Organised Crime Agency before fulfilling her first role of SVP Global Communications at Unilever. Expanding her role to include the EVP Sustainability Business Development and Communications in 2014, meant she was responsible for the Unilever Sustainability Living Plan.
An expert in her field, Sue took the leap and opened her own consultancy business in 2019, Sue Garrard Consulting Ltd. This role allows her to work with large organisations to help implement vital sustainability strategies in the workplace. With some of her recent clients including the BBC, Natura, Mars, O2, and Primark, her work has ensured lots of large organisations are acting in a more sustainable way within their workplaces and her incredible achievements have been greatly respected within the business industry. Determined to educate a wide audience, Sue has become a Chair of Blueprint for Better Business and part of the Advisory Board Member for Fonterra and Zespri, roles that allow her to share her expertise with the audience.
Having developed an admirable career throughout the business industry, Sue Garrard is now looking to attend speaking engagements and share the knowledge and experience she has gained with a new audience.
