David Ferguson, the Head of Net Zero Innovation at EDF United Kingdom, is working towards finding viable solutions to the climate change crisis. Having begun his association with EDF in 2004, David has worked with the organisation in several roles over the years. The second chapter of David’s career involves a move into Innovation leadership at EDF Energy. After taking on roles like a Review Senior Consultant and Digital Innovation Manager, in 2016, David became the Head of Digital Innovation. Then, in 2019 he became the Head of Digital Innovation China. Within three years, David set up research in quantum machine learning, built several AI tools, built EDF’s first mobile payment system, and explored emerging technologies. David also applied his expertise when he became an Advisory Board Member at the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Artificial Intelligence, and as the Tech Advisory Board Member at Tech South West. In 2022, Daivd combined his two chapters when he became the Head of Net Zero Innovation for EDF UK.
