Finn's journey to becoming a leading advocate for sustainability began with a solid academic foundation. Holding a BSc in Earth and Ocean Science and an MSc in Marine Biology, Finn’s early career saw her working as a freelance Marine Mammal Observer with the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group. Her interest in marine life grew further during her time with An Taisce – the National Trust for Ireland, where she worked as a Project Coordinator. It was during these early roles that Finn began to delve deeply into marine ecosystems, specialising in cold-water corals. Alongside her professional work, she started blogging on health-conscious eating, particularly focusing on a gluten-free diet, which later led her to publish her bestselling cookbook, “Finn’s World: Do What You Love. Love What You Eat”.
In recent years, Finn’s achievements have expanded, building on her commitment to sustainability. She continues to pursue a lifestyle focused on reducing plastic and chemical use while cutting back on fast fashion. As an ambassador for Clean Coasts and Volvo, she tackles the global issue of ocean plastic pollution. Finn has also contributed to reputable publications such as The Irish Examiner, The Times, The Independent, and Surfgirl Magazine. Through collaborations with notable brands like Wild Atlantic Way, SSE Airtricity, Aldi, and Patagonia, she has further solidified her role as a sustainability advocate.
Finn is hired as a speaker for her deep understanding of sustainability and her ability to inspire audiences. Her wide-ranging expertise in marine science, climate change, and eco-friendly living allows her to offer actionable insights at events.
