Michael C. Bush is on a mission to make every workplace a Great Place to Work For All by 2030. A serial entrepreneur, he has been the Founder/President and CEO of several companies in his over forty-year long career. Today he is dedicating his time to speaking at a range of events about his mission, his love for business, desire for equitable and fair treatment for all and his idea of ideal workplace culture.
After he was handed over the responsibility of being CEO of Great Place to Work (an analytics and global research organisation) in 2015, the organisation has seen heights that it had not previously. In 2018, Michael pioneered the launch of a new SaaS product known as “Emprising” that did wonders for the organisaion financially – they were able to increase annual revenue by 15% and exceed the 100-million-dollar mark because of Emprising’s rapid customer adoption rate. Michael is also the man who created the Great Place to Work For All algorithm that can be applied employee surveys and thus increase business productivity and enhance performance.
Throughout his career, Michael has founded many companies like Decision Pathways, Mattmar Group, and 8 Factors but started his career as a Product Marketing Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. He was then the Regional Logistics Director of Kaiser Permanente and has also been the COO of Whalen and Company, CEO of Tetra Tech Communications, and CEO of Clark Sustainable Resource Developments. Today he is a founding member of Fund Good Jobs which provides on-going support to organisations in terms of investments. He is also an Advisor at Inner City Advisors.
Michael has interestingly been former member of President Obama’s White House Business Council. Stanford University graduate with a Master’s in Business, Business Administration, Management and Operations, Michael is today also the author of the book Great Place to Work For All. Michael has also given several TED Talks on matters related to workplace culture, what a great place to work is, how to ensure happiness of employees at work and other related subjects.
