Christine Armstrong is an author and consultant who is devoted to helping others understand the new world of work using evidence-backed research and is currently using her expertise in consulting at the company she founded – Armstrong & Partners. Having studied Politics at the University of York, in 1996 Christine became a Senior Associate at APCO Worldwide where she was responsible for Government Relations and PR for FedEx, Eli Lilly, nightclubs and restaurants. She then went on to become the Director at BBDO Worldwide; this role took Christine across the Atlantic where she gained much exposure to different cultures, undoubtedly contributing to her excellent consulting services and implementation of tailored strategies for a wide variety of companies. After having her second baby in 2011, Christine decided she no longer wanted to work in the corporate world and began interviewing women who had managed to balance their careers alongside having a baby. She became an early supporter of hybrid working long before Covid.
In 2013 Christine then became the co-founder of Jericho Chambers – a hybrid Change Management, Communications and Management Consultancy firm which allowed Christine to balance her career whilst having a young child. Since this radical change in Christine’s life, she has become successful researcher and consultant in the future of work and how culture can be improved to suit all employees from different backgrounds. Determined to widen her reach, Christine released her book ‘The Mother of All Jobs: How to Have Children and a Career and Stay Sane(ish)’. Her book received numerous positive reviews from the likes of The Daily Telegraph and Good Housekeeping, and was a finalist in the 2019 Business Book Awards. Besides her book, Christine has also been on the front page of The Sunday Times Magazine and has been a Columnist for Grazia UK.
