Quint Studer did not lead the most conventionally “easy life” and struggle with a speech impediment and his academics as a result of it when he was a young boy. However, this led him to discovering his passion to help people, in whatever capacity he can. Starting out as a Special Education Teacher after gaining a Bachelor’s degree and MS in Special Education Teaching from the University of Wisconsin-Water, he progressed to being one of the most prominent figures in the U.S healthcare industry. Now available to share more about his journey and approach to business, Quint can be hired as a speaker at a range of events.
Quint’s crossover to healthcare came after he struggled with alcoholism as an adult and started working as a Marketing Director at Parkside Lodge – a facility that catered to those struggling with alcohol abuse. He then joined Mercy Hospital as it’s Director of Sales and Marketing, later progressing to the role of Senior VP of Business Development of Mercy Hospital. In his time as the President of Baptist Health Care he was able to do wonders and bring the company into the top 1 percentile of hospitals in terms of employee and patient satisfaction. A whizz at leadership and mentoring, Quint founded The Studer Group in 2000 where he managed to help 1000 other health companies to effectively manage their businesses and provide better healthcare for their customers. A phenomenon in the healthcare field, he is the only healthcare industry member to have ever won the Master of Business award by Inc Magazine and was chosen as one of the Most Powerful People in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare twice. Quint believes that success is often attributed to 3 P’s: Principles, Pillar Results and Passion, and this is the key to his success as an entrepreneur as well. He was even named amongst the 500 Most Influential Business Leaders by Florida Trends for three consecutive years.
As the Founder of Studer Community Institute, it was Quint’s goal to provide a better quality of life for those who resided in Pensacola, and within just 5 short years he was able to achieve a 34% growth rate in property values. He even owns the two Minor League Baseball teams including the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Now also serving as the Co-Founder of Healthcare Plus Solutions, Quint is still dedicated to the healthcare industry in addition to building Studer Community Institute using his unparalleled leadership skills. Tapping into his creativity, he has authored 12 books, including his Wall Street Journal Bestsellers: “Results That Last” and “The Busy Leader’s Handbook”. His last book “The Calling” was published in 2021. Quint also co-hosts a podcast called "Healthcare Plus The Podcast” where he brings on other leading healthcare professionals to provide their insights and solutions to problems faced in the industry. Something that is most easily recognisable from Quint’s books or podcast is his ability to break down complex concepts so that they are easy to understand for his audience.
Named as one of the 40 Smartest People in Healthcare in the Becker Hospital Review, Quint is best at applying customer service to patient care. He holds development and training programmes for entrepreneurs and communities and is a revered figure in his field. Regularly appearing on radio shows, TV and being featured in newspapers and magazines, he is also a renowned speaker who uses his instances from his own life to connect with his audience. If you are looking for an educative, inspiring, and passionate speaker, look no further than Quint Studer!
