With his life beginning in North London, McQueen left Queensmead School with a BTEC Diploma, he went on to become a trainee catering manager at Harrow School before moving into the recruitment industry. The majority of his career was spent as a member of management with Capita Resourcing, he spent over six years leading a department of 30 people in the largest business process and outsourcing company in the UK.
His time on The Apprentice saw him lose only three tasks out of a total of eleven, he was the project manager twice in which he was left undefeated and he never once entered the boardroom as one of the bottom three. He made a name for himself as one of the best contestants in the history of the show and won the £100,000 prize money along with employment as the Development Director at Lord Sugar’s Amscreen.
Since his victory, Lee has ventured out to form his own sales recruitment and training agency. The award-winning company named Raw Talent Agency is based in Oxfordshire and has been operating since 2011. The million pound firm has secured over 700 jobs for its clients and has launched many academies across the UK.
McQueen has been impressing Lord Sugar with his natural business flare since day one. He helped to set up Simon Sugar’s digital giant, Amscreen, as well as securing them deals with massive corporations including BP. At Raw Talent Agency, Lee has overseen the company win the Sales Innovation Expo Best Service Award in 2017 and Oxfordshire Business Awards Small Business of the Year 2015.
Coming from having very little education to a huge entrepreneur with the approval from one of the worlds biggest business magnates, Lee McQueen has established a mindset that helped him go from good to great. With a can-do attitude, McQueen is able to inspire audiences with his story and journey to success.
