Doctor in Political Science, Olivier Kempf is a General (2S) of the Army who has been working for ten years on issues of cyber-strategy and transformation. For ten years, he has been one of the most influential thinkers of the French school of cyberstrategy. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the International Cybersecurity Forum and directs the Cyber strategy collection at Economica.
He has taught in many institutions such as Polytechnique, Sciences-Po Paris, the École de guerre or HEC and has published numerous articles and books such as "Introduction to cyber strategy" in 2015 ( 2nd edition) or "Winning the cyber conflict” in 2016.
In 2016, he was in charge of the entire digital transition of the Army as well as the design of the cyber defense policy at the General Staff of the French Army, including the associated critical issues. to these topics.
During these two years, Olivier Kempf launched around twenty scouting projects, around ten cross-functional projects, a policy of strategic data control and a communication strategy based on the digital media available.
Marked by the lack of porosity that exists between the world of cybersecurity and that of digital transformation, Olivier Kempf is today one of the rare professionals in France to be able to address both the disruption of organizations as it is generated by the digital transformation as well as the related cybersecurity issues: the strategic intelligence it offers goes beyond the usual economic intelligence and adds the cyber dimension to the analysis of economic warfare.
Olivier Kempf is also a strategist and a geopolitical scientist. In this capacity, in addition to several published works, he is the Director of the publication of "La Vigie", a bi-monthly letter of strategic analysis launched in 2014 offering a French vision of strategic and geopolitical issues.
Today he acts as a consultant on the challenges of digital transitions and cybersecurity strategy with large companies and government institutions, in France and abroad.
