Haddy Ndure is on a mission to provide the people of Africa with the equal opportunities that they deserve. Using her platform as a news anchor, presenter and journalist, she is also the presenter of Stories from the Continent. Haddy completed her BA in Journalism and History and has worked as a journalist with ITV, BBC Newsround, BBC World Service and BBC Cambridgeshire. Using her position as a journalist, Haddy has worked hard to bring the issues regarding representation of African healthcare, climate change, agriculture, education, politics, etc., to the forefront. She is also known to breach the subjects of female empowerment and shackling stereotypes through her broadcasts.
During the course of her career, Haddy has been able to interview people from all walks of life, including farmers, social entrepreneurs, scientists, and vice presidents. Of Gambian-British descent herself, she is also the co-founder of Audacity Education Programme, an endeavour to provide African students with the opportunity to receive the education they deserve to live an enriched life in the future. An activist through and through, Haddy’s YouTube videos have attracted over 30000 viewers and garnered her position as someone who creates thought-provoking and potent content. Haddy is also currently the Academic Marketing Executive for Cambridge University Press.
