Vishen Lakhiani, a TEDx Speaker, New York Times Best-selling author and Founder and CEO of Mindvalley, is hoping to change the world through evolving our core, age-old systems such as politics, work culture, wellbeing and most importantly, education. Wanting to elevate the consciousness of humankind through his companies, technology, writing and speaking, he is now available to hire as a speaker at a range of events to share his perspectives on futurism, personal growth, work culture, consciousness, and the future of work.
Vishen is ambitious and his ambition is backed by action. After working as Vice President of AIESEC, a student organisation that organized student exchanges to increase cross-cultural understanding, he created Mindvalley in 2003. This global school aimed to deliver transformational education for everybody through community and fun and came to him after he realized the “traditional” or “normal” path to success was not necessarily for him. Growing up in Malaysia Vishen was plagued by the fact that his creativity was not challenged or nurtured enough and as a result education felt like a chore. Knowing this stands true for children and adults all over the world and Vishen found a better way. Taking inspiration from Nelson Mandela’s belief that changing education is the key to changing the world, Vishen decided to do just that. Mindvalley saw success under Vishen’s stewardship, who was able to grow the company from $0 to $100M revenue without ancillary help from venture capitalists, banks loans, or funding.
Despite completing his BS. In Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan and landing an internship at Microsoft, Vishen found that he felt unfulfilled. It was only after she started his journey of personal growth and meditation that he was able to step into a higher-performing self and do work that he felt enriched by. He was even able to grow at a company he worked at from a junior employee position to the Director of Sales in virtually no time. Despite several naysayers, Vishen founded the A-Fest by Mindvalley in 2010 where change-makers and visionaries who wanted to transform the world could come together and inspire each other. He then consolidated all of his ventures under the banner of Mindvalley Academy. He wants Mindvalley to reach 100 national schooling systems and every company in Fortune 500 and wants to impact every aspect of human life by 2038. Mindvalley has been regarded as one of the top 10 coolest places to work by Inc. Magazine as well, which brings to fruition Vishen’s goal of a healthy workplace culture with true work-life integration.
His books “Code of the Extraordinary Mind” and “The Buddha and the Badass” have received coveted spots like the #1 Amazon books list five times and the #1 on Wall Street Journal Business Best-Seller list respectively, and Vishen is a New York Times Best-Selling author. Ranking #53 on the top 100 most influential spiritual teachers in 2022 in the Watkins List, Vishen is now available to speak at events about the importance of diversity, transforming work culture and consciousness, importance of a diverse and inclusive place and other related subjects. Having spoken in front of people like Richard Branson and the Dalai Lama and for companies like Google and TEDx, Vishen is a seasoned speaker. He would make an excellent choice to speak at your next event!
