Ben Saunders may be known as just a polar explorer but in reality, he is an entrepreneur, cyclist, runner, a storyteller, a consultant, and a keynote speaker. A Guinness World record holder for longest ever polar journey on foot, Ben is driven by his passion to leave the climate in a better state than he found it. Available to hire as a keynote speaker at a range of corporate events, Ben wants to educate, inform, and inspire his audiences.
Ben began participating in polar expeditions in 2001 and has since led 12 major expeditions on foot to Greenland, Antarctica, and the Arctic. He is one of the very few people to have spent so much time in high altitudes like these and has been to Antarctica at least seven times. Thus, he also consults on Antarctic travel, logistics and aviation. Ben is also a Founding Partner of Kintanna – a climate technology venture capital fund that provides financial support to founders who are tackling climate change. He supports charities and invests in early-stage businesses.
Aside from these ventures, Ben is also working on a long-term project wherein he wants to bring young storytellers – scientists, artists, filmmakers, writers, photographers, musicians together with expert mentors and take them to Antarctica. He is also working on writing a new book, having already written Shackleton (A Ladybird Expert Book) and contributed to What Doesn’t Kill You: Fifteen Stories of Survival.
Passionate about educating, inspiring and encouraging people to partake in adventures, Ben has given several virtual presentations to people around the world and three TED talks. He gives his audience insight into his polar expeditions, and anecdotes from him life, speaking with honesty, humility and humour. Ben is a seasoned speaker who is bound to motivate his audiences to stay focused in unpredictable, hostile and tough times. If you are looking for a speaker who can merge storytelling with lived experiences, hire Ben Saunders to speak at your event today!
