Eniola Aluko’s impressive football career began at the age of 15, when she featured in the FA Women's Premier League Cup Final. Thanks to Eniola, Birmingham City’s fortunes changed when they won promotion to the Premier League National Division in the 2001-02 season. Eniola was named Young Player of the Year at the 2003 FA Women's Football Awards, in recognition for her dedicated passion and skill.
Due to this, Eniola’s career skyrocketed. After garnering attention from Charlton Athletic, one of the county’s most successful teams at the time, Eniola led one of their most successful periods to date; winning two League Cups, two Charity Shields, one FA Cup and a second place finish in the Premier League National Division on two occasions. After returning to Chelsea in 2012, Eniola smashed 32 goals in 73 games, a tribute to her immense skill and commitment. Whilst dedicating her time to winning footballing titles, Eniola also succeeded in her personal life when she earned a first class degree from Brunei University in 2008. Towards the end of her distinguished career, Eniola became a national treasure after winning a Bronze medal at the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2015 and finishing Runner-up in the 2009 UEFA Women's Championship.
Thanks to her expertise and passion for football, Eniola became the first female pundit on BBC's Match of the Day in 2014, joined the punditry team at the 2016 European Championships and later made an influential appearance as an ITV pundit throughout the 2018 World Cup.
