Suzannah Lipscomb is an award-winning historian, author, and broadcaster, celebrated for her expertise in Tudor history and women’s untold stories. She holds several prestigious academic positions, including Professor Emerita at the University of Roehampton, and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the Society of Antiquaries. With a DPhil from the University of Oxford, Suzannah’s career began with a stellar academic foundation, having earned a double First in History from Lincoln and Balliol Colleges, Oxford. Her academic credentials are enhanced by her work as Research Curator at Hampton Court Palace, where she delved into Tudor history and curation.
Suzannah is a prolific author, with seven books to her name. One of her notable works, ‘The Voices of Nîmes: Women, Sex, and Marriage in Reformation Languedoc’, won a Social History Society Book Prize Commendation in 2021. She also co-edited the groundbreaking collection ‘What is History, Now?’, which reshapes historical discourse for modern audiences.
