As the founder of Global Tolerance, Simon worked with the likes of TED, HH Dalai Lama and the founder of We Are Family Foundation, Nile Rogers to spread positive messages of love, compassion and forgiveness. Whilst working towards positive social change, the ethical communications agency very quickly became a success for the entrepreneur and he became a respected leader within his field.
It was during the planning of the first UN International Day of Happiness that Cohen realised he had very little idea on the true meaning of happiness. He took it upon himself to perform extensive research into the science behind the emotion and found mainly that happiness comes from focusing on others. The Happy Hero campaign became yet another success for Global Tolerance right before Simon’s wife fell pregnant.
After hearing the Hindu mythological anecdote of Ganesha, Skanda and the Magic Mango, Cohen reflected on the message of the story and realised his entire world laid within his wife and his future child. He made the decision of putting the whole of his company on a year's sabbatical before the African leader, Nelson Mandela passed away. On reflection of his sad passing, Cohen recognised that Mandela’s success came from a free and open leadership style which ultimately persuaded him to give his business away.
Redefining what it means to be successful, Simon now lives a happy life as a devoted stay at home Dad. With his decisions proving to make quite the statement within the media, he is now also in high demand to make compelling motivational speeches surrounding what it means to be successful and happy. As a positive and calming influencer, Simon Cohen is ideal for any event in the search of an effective and unique inspiring keynote speaker.
