Bobbi Pickard is a DEI consultant and speaker who was the first openly transgender person in BP where she made every effort to raise awareness about the transgender community within the company. Now the CEO of Trans in the City – an organisation she founded because she saw a disconnect between large corporations and the trans and non-binary communities, she is also available to speak at several events on LGBTQIA+ inclusion.
A powerhouse spokesperson for the trans community and someone who has raised £250,000 for LGBT+ charities in a span of four years, Bobbi has amassed a slew of awards and recognition to her name. She was voted #1 and #4 in Yahoo Finance’s OUTstanding 50 LGBT+ Future Leaders’ List in 2019 and 2020 respectively, was the winner of Rainbow Honours LGBTQ Champion award in 2019, was included in PWC Stonewall’s 50 Inspirational Role Models in 2019, won the Nestle Diversity Champion award at 2020 British LGBT awards, was a Business Nominee in 2021 at the Diva Awards, ranked #14 in Pride Power List 2020 and #12 in 2021, was declared the Winner of Diversity Hero award at the European Diversity Awards 2021, and was named the Changemaker of the Year by Stonewall in 2022. She was also the first ever trans person to close out the London Stock Exchange.
Bobbi has worked in several varied sectors like technology, banking, trading, and energy throughout her career. She has held senior positions at companies like Allianz Insurance, Barclays, and BP. Today she is the CEO of Trans in the City and has worked with over 350 organisations to further trans awareness. Bobbi does this whilst adopting an open minded and pragmatic approach when it comes to placing trans inclusion programmes and trainings in the workplace. She is also an Ambassador for MindOUT and Council Member at OUTversing. She is also BP's Diversity and Inclusion Consultant.
A DEI consultant with years of personal and professional experience under her belt, Bobbi wants people to increase their knowledge of what transgender people are like and wants to reduce their fear of not knowing the right thing to say when talking to a member of the LGBT+ by educating them.
