Back in 2002, Daniel joined the Special Forces, acting as an instructor for six years. During his time in the Special Forces, he specialised in communications, close air support and was also a patrol medic. A career that demands performance under pressure, drive, determination and strong mental resilience, Daniel has developed a hard-wearing character and is able to discuss such topics in his proficiency as a public speaker. Daniel committed his time to the Everestmillion campaign as the project leader after departing from the Special Services. In a bid to raise £1 million for the charity Comic Relief, Daniel and a team of 268 people journeyed to take the first Red Nose to the summit of the colossal Mount Everest. They were successful in their mission, planting the first Red Nose on the summit of Mount Everest as well as performing the World’s highest video broadcast. Another incredible feat that required both tough mental and physical strength, it is without a doubt that Daniel knows first hand what it takes to obtain peak performance.
In his spare time, Daniel has also competed in a number of Triathlons. In 2014 and 2015 he took on the challenge of competing in the ITU World Duathlon Championships, again proving his strong physical resilience. Daniel has also spent time as a commercial airline pilot, piloting the 787 Dreamliner. He also commits his time to run a number of corporate simulator days, requested frequently by a number of high-profile clients.
Daniel is now highly sought after as a public speaker. In 2016 he joined Leading Authorities as a public speaker and executive educator before leaving to found his company Reignite. His company was established to specialise in executive coaching, experimental learning and inspirational speaking. With his diverse expertise, Daniel wanted to found a company that encompassed that, drawing upon the lessons he had learnt as a Special Forces instructor. He helps clients with a variety of different subjects such as leadership training, team building, team coaching, conflict management, decision making and communications.
