Marian Adejokun is the Founder of the ReachOut2All CIC Youth Organisation, Ambassador for the British Skin Foundation, the Scar Free Foundation and the Founder of the My Scars Tell a Story campaign. With a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Roehampton and an MA in Early Years Education from the UCL Institute of Education, she is an expert in youth development. 2011 brought chaos to Marian’s life and she was afflicted with Stevens Johnsons syndrome — a one-in-a-million allergic reaction to eye drops, that caused the skin from her entire body to peel off and was in a coma for one month. Since then, Marian has made it her mission to not let him impede her from achieving greatness and she coped through this phase of her life whilst completing her Bachelor’s degree. She is now the author of two books, namely “My Life Is Not My Own” and “Reachout2All”, determined to tell her story to the world and have them see it as a positive one. She is driven to give youths all over the world an innate sense of empowerment – something she is equipped with in abundance herself.
As an Ambassador of the Their World Global Youth Programme, she is dedicated to providing support to children all over the world in whatever ways she can and has made efforts in nearly 90 countries to end the education crisis. The CEO of the Marian Adekojun Foundation and a University of Brighton BAME Mentor, she is also a UN Women UK Official Delegate. Her dedication towards children’s education can be seen through her work as a Council Community Leader at Oasis Community Learning, Student Mentor at UCL Institute of Education, and School Governor at the Balgowan Primary School.
