Medal-winning hurdler and motivational speaker, Gianni nearly took a different path from the running track – originally he had been a footballer, even playing semi-professionally before he gave it up for his real love, athletics. It’s fair to say that much of Gianni’s success on the track was down to his coach, the former Olympian Tony Jarrett. Gianni says that Jarrett is the biggest single influence on his career, and touches upon how to collaborate productively in his public speeches.
Among other medals that Frankis has won, he secured a silver medal in the 110m hurdles at the 2009 European Under-23 Championships, a bronze at the 2007 European Junior Championships and a bronze at the 2005 World Youth Championships. The motivational speaker has also achieved silver in the 60m hurdles at the Aviva World Indoor Trials & UK Championships, the BUCS Indoor Championships in 2010 as well as the Aviva European Indoor Trials & UK Championships in 2011.
Other achievements in Gianni’s career include a personal best in the 7.67 seconds in the 60 metres hurdles and 13.54 seconds in the 110 metres hurdles. He has also made a name for himself as a fascinating motivational speaker and is extremely popular when speaking at universities and further education colleges. However, despite all his success, Gianni cites as his proudest moment when he won a World Youth bronze medal.
This celebrated athlete took the public speaking circuit by storm as soon as he stepped onto the stage. As a motivational speaker, Gianni is an opportunity not to be missed.
