Born in Leicester, Malcom Gregson established himself as a respected golfing influence and a popular choice on the public speaking circuit for a number of years. A legend within the sport, Malcom turned to professional golf in 1961, when he stepped onto the highly competitive circuit. As he toured across Europe, presenting his immense skill to international fans, he played against some of the greatest golfers ever to play the game, most of whom now dedicate their time to public speaking.
Malcom made a name for himself as a formidable force on the course, as well as a highly regarded, eloquent public speaker, years prior to the notable introduction of the European Tour and PGA in the early 1970s. To this day, Malcom is a sought-after motivational speaker due to his huge contribution to golf and likeable nature. In the 1980s, Malcom’s professional career really took off. Securing such awards as The Harry Vorden Trophy and The Gor-Ray Cup, he quickly dominated the sport with a calculated playing style. Between 1967 and 1974, Malcom won the Daks Tournament twice, the Sumrie Better-Ball with Brian Huggett and Cock of the North in Zambia. Taking to the European Senior Tour, over the course of a decade from 1994 to 2004, Malcom won the Tandem Stockley Park Seniors Opens, Lawrence Batley Seniors, Is Molas Senior Open, Irvine Whitlock Jersey Seniors Classic and the De Vere Northumberland Seniors Classic.
There is no doubting Malcom’s influential career. At his peak, he secured wins on a yearly basis, showing his consistent playing style. Whilst making team appearances at the Ryder Cup, World Cup, R.T.V International Trophy, Double Diamond International, Praia d'El Rey European Cup, Malcom amassed a large fan base who closely followed every game he played.
Though he has only played a handful of tournaments since 2006, his dedication to the speaking circuit is generating a reputation of a different kind – as a passionate, inspiring motivational speaker. With his invaluable experience of performing to a high standard whilst under pressure, the benefits of a hiring speaker like Malcom are countless.
