Alexandra Palt is a leading authority on corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability. Currently working with L’Oréal, Alexandra is shaping the future with improved sustainability programmes and initiatives, now regularly booked as a speaker for corporate events. Having previously spoken at the WFC Summit 2020, BSR Virtual 2020 and Women4Climate, Alexandra is a popular choice as a sustainability speaker for a range of events.
Best known for her passions in sustainability, Alexandra is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer for L’Oréal, as well as the Executive Vice President of the L’Oréal Foundation. Sitting at the helm of the company, Alexandra is working to transform the practices of the business to create both a more sustainable and inclusive world. She is also leading the L’Oréal for the Future programme which encompasses their key targets for enhanced sustainability by the year of 2030.
Before forging a successful career with L’Oréal, Alexandra studied for a Master in Law at the University of Vienna. Upon graduation, Alexandra began a career in law and specialised in human rights, working as part of the Preparing Young Women to Lead programme as a passionate advocate for women’s rights. Her interest in human rights continued later into her career, going on to work as the Vice President of Promotion of Equal Opportunities for HALDE (High Commission Against Discrimination and for Equal Opportunities). Here she directed the leadership team and ensured that there were equal opportunities across the sectors of public employment, housing, education and more.
Alexandra was also the founder and General Manager of the Fabric of Society. A consulting agency for social innovation, Alexandra’s company focused on corporate social responsibility and change management. Now, Alexandra is working on the L’Oréal for the Future campaign, in which she is aiming to push L’Oréal towards being 100% sustainable. She is also working to ensure that the company’s footprint is reduced by 60%, providing 100,000 people with work from underprivileged backgrounds and making 100% of L’Oréal’s products have social and environmental benefits. Alexandra has also created and directed the Sharing Beauty With All Commitment, L’Oréal’s sustainability policy which incorporates environmental and social innovation.
With a distinguished career behind her, Alexandra is now a popular choice as a keynote speaker for events. Most recently, she has spoken at the BSR Virtual conference in 2020 and the Women Working for Change conference 2020. Alexandra has also launched the Women4Climate event, previously speaking and acting as a mentor for both their 2017 and 2018 events. As a speaker, Alexandra shares her expertise built from working with L’Oréal and is a passionate advocate for sustainability in all of her corporate speeches.
