Pranav Mistry is a leading expert in the realm of technology, most recently acting as the President and CEO of STAR Labs. After his studies in Media Arts and Sciences, Pranav began his working career as an intern in the Incubation Team at Microsoft. He then progressed to become a Research Assistant for the Indian Institute of Technology, beginning his successful career in technology research. He then returned to Microsoft to become the Director of the India Incubation Team before becoming a Researcher at Google. Since then, Pranav has also acted as a Researcher for NASA, a Researcher for Microsoft Research, a Visiting Researcher at the Japan Science and Technology Agency and a Research Assistant at MIT Media Lab.
For nine years of his career, Pranav worked with esteemed tech giant Samsung Electronics. He first joined back in 2012, becoming the Vice President of Research for Samsung. Working his way up the ranks of the research department, Pranav later went on to become the Global Vice President of Research, the Corporate SVP of Research and Head of Innovation for Samsung Electronics and Samsung Mobile. He has also worked as the CEO of NEON and was most recently, until June 2021, the President and CEO of STAR Labs. Highly commended for his work in research and technology, throughout his career, Pranav has been named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, awarded the TR35 Award, awarded the Invention of the Year award and nominated as India’s Person of the Year.
