Bruce Daisley is a bestselling author and technology leader from the UK. He has become regarded as one of the most respected thought leaders on the subject of workplace culture and the future of work. After studying Economics at the University of York, Bruce began his illustrious career as an Account Manager for Media Sales & Marketing. Working here for four years, Bruce built the foundations of his understanding of business working to deadlines and under pressure. In 1999 Bruce joined Emap, beginning his credible digital and technology career as Digital Sales Director for Emap. After his successful tenure with Emap, Bruce then accepted the role of Director of YouTube and Display for Google. Responsible for leading YouTube for the UK, Bruce was at the helm of one of the largest and most fast-paced companies of the modern day. Since working for Google, Bruce has committed time to work as an Organiser for Culture 2.0, a Digital Advisor for Comic Relief and a Judge for the Design Effectiveness Award. His next largest and most probably best-known role came along in 2012, initially accepting a role as UK Managing Director of Twitter. At the helm of growing and developing the social media platform in the UK, Bruce was ultimately appointed as the EMEA Vice President of Twitter working for eight years with the technology giant.
Since leaving Twitter Bruce has focused his interests on workplace wellbeing, pushing the importance of ensuring that you have the correct balance between work and life. He is a keen believer that laughter is an important factor in making a workplace a more comfortable place and works to improve workplace culture in his proficiency as a speaker.
