Brittany Kaiser is a leading figure of the technology and data industry, widely known as the former Business Development Director at consulting firm Cambridge Analytica. During her time at Cambridge Analytica, Brittany worked through when the company was involved in the scandal with the misuse of hundreds of Facebook users data. An educated individual, Brittany is now highly sought as a guest speaker for corporate events covering topics of social media, advertising, privacy and big data.
After studying at a variety of universities, including the University of Edinburgh, City University of Hong Kong, University of London and Middlesex University, Brittany began her career as part of Barack Obama’s media team. Pausing her studies, Brittany’s first experience of working in data and advertising came during the 2007 presidential campaign for the future President Barack Obama. Finding a passion for media and campaigning, Brittany later went on to become a lobbyist for Amnesty International.
Brittany first began working for Cambridge Analytica in 2015, joining the parent company SCL acting as the Director of Business Development. Brittany was heavily involved in the topical Cambridge Analytica scandal of misused Facebook profile data and ultimately was forced to testify about the company’s mistreatment of data. Since the scam was outed to the world, Brittany and other former members of Cambridge Analytica became the subject of The Great Hack, a Netflix Documentary. Brittany has also authored a book about her time at the company, titled Targeted: The Cambridge Analytica Whistleblower’s Inside Story of How Big Data, Trump, and Facebook Broke Democracy and How it Can Happen Again.
Since Cambridge Analytica collapsed, Brittany has worked for other technology companies. Back in 2019 Brittany became a member of the advisory board for Phunware and she most recently acted as the campaign manager for the 2020 presidential campaign of Brock Pierce. Today, Brittany is highly sought as a guest speaker at public events to share her stories of the Cambridge Analytica scam and her expertise in technology and big data. An intriguing figure of emerging technologies, Brittany brings understanding to how social media is used in politics, privacy laws and big data.
