Biography:

Tessy Ojo, Chief Executive Officer of the Diana Award, is also the first ever British National to have won the The Martin Luther King Award. A strong proponent of women in leadership Tessy is also a creative civil justice advocate, campaigner and a third sector leader. Tessy is now available to hire as a speaker for a range of events where she talks about women in leadership, diversity and the different issues in society that affect the youth.

Tessy worked as an analyst at IBM and at Borders Books and Music before she left the private sector for the charity sector. Tessy has had the opportunity to meet with the Royal Highnesses such as the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex and work with them for two decades. She is a trustee on the board of Comic Relief along with being on the board of BBC’s Appeals Advisory Committee.

Beginning her association with Diana Awards, which is a charity legacy in honour of the late Princess Diana of Wales, in 2006 as Head of Finance and Operations. Promoted to CEO in 2012, she ensures long term sustainability of the organisation and that it continues to help youth all over the world. Tessy is also the Chair of #iwill Leadership Board from the Department for Culture Media Sport with a fund amounting to nearly £70M. She has also served as a Member of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety and the Royal Taskforce on Cyberbullying and is the Chair for the National Lottery as well.

Recipient of several awards like The Precious Award, Inspiring Leader 2015, Women in Business Rising Star 2015, Excellence Award from Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Foundation, Tessy is a preferred choice to appear on television programmes such as ITV’s Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan. She has also been on Susanna Reid to speak about diversity and inclusion and issues that affect young people.
