After graduating with a BA in Journalism and Sociology, Daniel set himself on the path of helping people to manage their emotions. Before long, Daniel became qualified with Diploma’s in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and began to practise in the healthcare profession. For 10 years of his career, Daniel worked at the Royal Brompton Hospital caring for patients with conditions such as angina and Cardiac Syndrome X. Such patients allowed Daniel to build his knowledge of complex and chronic pain, whilst also allowing him to grasp the emotional and behavioural problems that accompanied such conditions. Daniel also dedicated a great portion of his career to helping patients with problems related to work stress, building his knowledge of overcoming obstacles and helping people to work through adversity.
Now Daniel is a highly experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist, practising his profession at the Priory Hospital in Bristol. For the past 15 years, he has dedicated his career to helping patients overcome various life blocks and emotional issues that they may be facing. He has established a strong reputation for dealing with anxiety disorders, work-related stress, self-esteem, self-confidence, anger management and chronic pain conditions. He also helps patients to deal with drug, alcohol and smoking-related issues. To further his expertise, Daniel studied and obtained a Master of Science in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in 2017.
After studying Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Daniel is a firm believer that it is not the events in life that affect us, but how we deal with those events. Using his education, Daniel helps his patients to take control of the way that they think, helping them to interpret difficult circumstances and occasions in a more positive light. Revered for his practice of REBT, Daniel is considered to have a clear and solution-focused approach to treating his patients. Most recently, Daniel has achieved a Diploma in Animal Assisted Therapy and is often seen bringing his rescue dog Lara to aid in his therapy sessions. As a former journalist, Daniel has the first-hand experience of the stresses, pressures and deadlines that a profession often poses and uses such experience as a tool in helping others.
Now Daniel is also a highly sought public speaker, delivering a range of corporate talks focused on the themes of mental health and wellbeing.
