In recent years, Levison has continued to build on his success with even more ambitious expeditions. He completed a challenging trek across the Himalayas, from Afghanistan to Bhutan, which was made into a popular TV special and later inspired his critically acclaimed book “Walking the Himalayas”. This book won the Adventure Travel Book of the Year Award at the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards in 2016. He also completed a 5,000-mile circumnavigation of the Arabian Peninsula, which further solidified his reputation as one of the world’s foremost adventurers. In 2019, Levison walked across Botswana following migrating elephants, which was documented by the Channel 4 show "Walking with Elephants." Most recently, he tracked down endangered animals for the Channel 4 show "Levison Wood: Walking With...". With a growing following, Levison has received numerous accolades, including becoming a Fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society and The Explorers Club.
