Beta Lucca recently appeared as a Judge and Investor on BBC’s The Apprentice 2022. A serial entrepreneur with vast experience as the Co-Founder of Bossa Studios – one of highest rated European gaming companies. She is currently the Founder, Creative Director and Host of the Hyper Curios Podcast where she encourages that people embrace their curiosity in order to succeed. A Venture Partner at Octopus Ventures, Beta earned her MBA in Marketing from COPPEAD UFRJ and MBA in Management from Universidade Candido Mendes. Her career took off when she joined as a Mobile-TV Interactive Lead at Globo TV – the world’s second largest commercial TV network. She then became the Alliances Manager at Bango and Senior Product Marketing Manager at Vertu, before Co-Founding WonderLuk, a 3D printed jewellery and clothing company. In 2016, she founded BOLDR – an AI powered chatbot coach that was meant to help people find their purpose. She is currently an Advocate at Tech London Advocates and an angel investor for several gaming studios and other companies such as Electric Noir Studios, Cosmos Video, Gwella, Rosecut, Quench and Gama to name only a few.
In her time as Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer for Bossa Studios, Beta transformed the company into a BAFTA-winning multimillion dollar business. They won a BAFTA for Monstermind and were BAFTA nominated for Merlin the Game, Surgeon Simulator, and Twelve a Dozen. Currently, Beta is a Non-Executive Director for Bossa Studios. In her long and successful career, she has had the opportunity to work with industry leaders like Disney, Ocado, Unilever, NatWest, SLUSH, Creative Informatics, Innovate UK, CogX, and Forbes. Forbes also named her as one of the Top 50 Women in Tech.
