Since graduating with a BArch Architecture and an MEng in Structural Engineering, Tom has pursued quite a different career from his studies. Tom began his career as a Key Account Manager for GlaxoSmithKline, where he began to develop his knowledge of marketing when responsible for the development and implementation of promotion strategies. Tom then moved to work for firms such as TBWA Worldwide and Lowe Worldwide, where he was a pivotal figure in campaigns for high-profile companies such as Pedigree, Nivea and Nokia. In 2008 Tom was promoted to Global Business Development Director for Lowe and Partners Worldwide, boosting his knowledge of business development and marketing working on the promotional material and outreach strategy for the business.
Beginning to forge a credible reputation in the world of business and marketing, Tom was then appointed as the Director of Growth and Innovation at DeVries Public Relations. With DeVries, Tom spearheaded their go-to-market strategy and various marketing material for the companies they worked with. Countless other roles followed, such including Director of Partner Development for IPG Media Lab, Director of Tomorrow Innovation and SVP of Strategy and Innovation for Havas Media. Tom then moved to join Publicis Groupe, holding roles such as Head of Innovation for Zenith Media and Head of Futures and Insight. During his tenure with Publicis Groupe, Tom was at the helm of the content and innovation for the business, putting new technologies into use and embracing new changes in the marketing landscape.
Alongside working for top firms, Tom has also set up his own businesses. His first enterprise was founded in 2017, co-founding Interesting People, Interesting Times. An event and podcast company, Tom had the vision to change the future of corporate conferences and make them a more engaging experience for all in attendance. He later went on to co-found Interesting Speakers, again with the vision to improve corporate events by providing quality speakers. His most recent venture was founded in mid-2020, currently the founder of All We Have Is Now. All We Have Is Now is a consultancy firm that helps clients with business transformation and innovation, helping them to solve pressing issues and embrace new technologies.
With a diverse career behind him, Tom is now highly sought as a public speaker.
