Leanne Maskell, the Director and ADHD Coach at ADHD Works, started modelling at the age of 13. She has since forged a notable presence as an ADHD and Life Coach and author. Her bestselling book “ADHD an A-Z: Figuring it Out Step by Step” acknowledges the 7-year NHS waiting list for ADHD assessments and provides a solution to this potent problem. Now available to speak at a wide range of events, Leanne uses her platform to raise awareness about ADHD and help ADHD work for everyone.
After completing her LLB from the Queen Mary University of London, Leanne worked as a Legal Taxonomist for Lexis Nexis, and a Legal Intern for ASOS.com before she worked as a Public Law Policy Adviser of Immigration and Mental Health Law at The Law Society. In her two years in this role, she worked with the Government and other entities on developing and implementing policies in areas such as Brexit and the Mental Health Act 1983. Receiving her ADHD & Life Coaching certification from the ADD Coach Academy she set up ADHD Works in 2022 and serves as its Director and ADHD Coach. Still a very new organisation, ADHD Works has already launched its ADHD Champions Training sessions with Disney UK and has trained at companies like Yahoo! and Paperchase. Attracting a lot of interest from the media, the organisation has been featured by BBC Worldwide News, Metro UK, Stylist, Forbes, and other media outlets. Diagnosed with ADHD at 25, Leanne is known as a ‘Neurodivergent Person’s Hero’ owing to the work she has done for the community in training ADHD coaches around the world.
She is quite a revered spokesperson for the inconveniences faced by models as well, having been a model herself nearly 14 years. Her bestselling book “The Model Manifesto: An A-Z anti-exploitation manual for the fashion industry” discusses the lack of regulation in the modelling industry. It was featured in publications like the Times, Lorraine, BBC News, Guardian, Thomson Reuters, Grazia, the Week, and several others. Frequently opening up about the ugly side of the modelling industry, Leanne also worked with the Government’s working group on ‘Ending Bullying, Harassment & Discrimination in the Creative Industries’.
Now on a mission to empower those riddled with ADHD to take charge of their lives, Leanne is available to speak at a range of events about embracing ADHD, overcoming challenges posed by ADHD and how to access one’s ADHD superpowers. She speaks with authority, candour, and passion, making her an excellent choice for your next event. Hire Leanne Maskell today!
