Adam Pearson is a British Actor, Presenter and Campaigner who is renowned for overcoming any adversity in his way. Battling neurofibromatosis alongside his twin, he has faced difficult situations throughout his lifetime but has been able to build a highly respectable career in the media industry. At the age of five, Adam was diagnosed with type 1 neurofibromatosis alongside his twin brother. His condition continued to develop over the years and his non-cancerous tumour grew on his facial nerve tissue. Persistent to overcome his battle, Adam graduated from the University of Brighton and began his TV career at Channel 4 and the BBC, appearing on shows such as The Undatables and Beauty and the Beast. In 2013, he was cast for Under the Skin which he hoped would educate the audience on disfigurement. As a key part of the TV industry, he began working as a Casting Researcher and a Producer for BBC and Channel 4.
After making his film debut alongside Scarlett Johansson, Under the Skin was nominated for a BAFTA Award. In 2016, he was also nominated as UK Documentary Presenter of the Year at the Grierson Awards due to his successful transition within the TV industry.
