Named after Australian actor Frederick Matthias Alexander, the Alexander Technique teaches people how to avoid unnecessary muscular and mental tension during their everyday activities, and is an educational process rather than a relaxation technique or form of exercise. Anthony Kingsley is a respected motivational speaker and an expert Alexander Technique practitioner, currently working as a trainer and in Central London. Anthony not only supports clients in their pursuit of physical wellbeing with the Alexander Technique, but he also trains prospective teachers and trainers to become experts in their own right.
Qualifying as a Trainer in 1986, Kingsley has spent thirty years working as an Alexander Technique teacher. Speaking at seminars on physical and personal wellbeing, he teaches people how to bring the Alexander Technique into their daily lives. Apart from working as a motivational speaker, ever since 1989, Kingsley has trained other practitioners how to teach and train the Alexander Technique and he has helped over 100 Trainers to earn their qualifications in the UK.
Anthony also uses his knowledge and experience as a qualified psychotherapist, furthering his understanding of body balance and increasing his ability to improve the lives of his clients. Kingsley offers private lessons from the comfort of his own Alexander Studio as well as enumerating on the many benefits of the Alexander Technique to audiences at corporate events and functions.
Aside from his work as a practitioner, teacher and motivational speaker, Kingsley has also been employed as a consultant and expert on stress management, particularly for those in the health care and medical professions. He also appeared as the presenter of the Alexander Technique DVD, From Stress to Freedom.
