Four times a silver medallist at the Olympic Games – one in each discipline in Barcelona (1992) and in Atlanta (1996) – Frankie also has 10 gold medals to his name. These have been achieved at the World Championships, the Commonwealth Games, the World Indoor Championships, the All Africa Games, the African Championships and the World Cup.
In all, this incredibly motivational speaker has 28 medals and it is this fiery determination that comes across so strongly when he delivers his presentation to various types of audience at a wide range of events.
A member of the International Olympic Committee, Frankie Fredericks is (at the time of writing) the world record holder in the indoor 200m, having achieved 19.92 seconds in 1996 – when he was 31 years old. Even when he was just a couple of months away from his 35th birthday, Frankie was able to run the 200m in under 20 seconds.
