Martin McCourt is widely remembered for the time that he spent working for companies such as Dyson, Toshiba and Duracell. Having spent the past 40 years working for some of the UK’s largest manufacturers Martin is now booked as a leading technology and innovation speaker for corporate events. Best known as the former CEO of Dyson Ltd, Martin sat at the top of the company for 15 years, leading it from having only one type of product to having several. Martin is also well known for being a former National Sales Manager for Duracell and a General Manager of Audio Visual Products for Toshiba. Currently, he is the Non-Executive Director of Tharsus and Chairman of Lightfoot and FreeFlow Technologies.
Throughout his career, Martin has worked for countless industry-leading businesses. He first started work in Business Development for Mars, where he worked for four years building his expertise in business growth and expansion. He then went on to join Duracell as the National Sales Manager, where he worked for several years before moving onto Toshiba as the General Manager of Audio Visual Products. Since those roles, Martin has worked as a General Manager for Pelikan GMBH, a Managing Director for Marcus Bohn Associates and a Sales Marketing Director for Office International.
Other roles of Martin’s include being a Director of Montagu Private Equity, a Non-Executive Director of Your Life, a Chairman of VentureFounders, Chairman of Dudson Group and Chairman of the Boards for Glen Dimplex and Learning Curve Group.
