His London team now covers customer care, PR and Communications, licensing, partnerships, sales and marketing, and has so far attracted over $50m in deposits from around 380 future astronauts. Outside of his role in the business and marketing of the Virgin Galactic brand, Stephen also plays a vital role in the non-tourism side of the business, namely the scientific and technological research and future implications of extended space travel.
Prior to joining Virgin Galactic, Stephen worked for Gartmore Investment Management, a major London-based investment management firm, where he performed in a number of management activities for more than 15 years. At Gartmore, his roles focused on the company’s relationship with sophisticated institutional and high net worth clients and prospective clients.
