Abam Mambo’s commendable work as Managing Director and Principal Consultant at BelongingIQ and as a belonging specialist makes her highly revered in her field. A student of Political Science, English and Law, Abam’s career has made her an expert on matters like employment law and business consulting. Beginning her professional journey as an Associate for Faegre & Benson LLP and Littler Mendelson, Abam joined GSK’s Legal Counsel in 2011. As she nurtured her expertise in employment law she was able to hold positions such as Senior Legal Counsel, Director of Africa Ethics and Compliance, Head of Ethics and Compliance for the Intercontinental Region, and was part of the Assistant General Counsel and Investigations Counsel teams for GSK. Her responsibilities included putting risk management strategies into place and conducting investigations in the Asian region.
After almost ten years at GSK, Abam moved on to being the Asia Legal Regional Director of Workplace Investigations at Microsoft. She then joined as MD of BelongingIQ in 2021 and has worked with several organisations to develop their workforce including Fortune 500 companies. She has had the opportunity to work with several executives and business owners and helped them cultivate a more diverse and inclusive workplace where employee engagement is high. Clients such as GSK Canada, JP Morgan Chase and GW Pharmaceuticals have also benefited from Abam’s work and expertise.
