As the founder of GZERO Media and Eurasia Group, Bremmer is considered an expert in the global affairs that are forever shaping the globe.
After attending St. Dominic Savio High School, Bremmer graduated from Tulane University with a degree in International Relations and went on to read for a PhD in Political Science at Stanford University. It was whilst he was studying for this qualification in 1994 that he wrote The Politics of Ethnicity: Russians In The New Ukraine.
He has since published ten highly regarded books with Every Nation for Itself: Winners and Losers in a G-Zero World and The End of the Free Market: Who Wins the War Between States and Corporations achieving best-seller status. In 2016, Bremmer founded the Eurasia Group Foundation which aims to raise awareness around current geopolitical affairs and create an understanding around such complex issues for a diverse range of people.
Ian is currently working as the editor and foreign affairs columnist for Time Magazine as well as working closely Gerry Butts to launch a global climate practice within The Eurasia Group. Since launching GZERO Media in 2017, Bremmer has hosted a weekly television show where he discusses global stories to create conversations with leaders and newsmakers. He also presents a weekly digital series named The World in 60 Seconds alongside the likes of Adam Grant, Sallie Krawcheck and Kevin Rudd.
As a regular on CNBC, CNN, Fox News, Bloomberg Television and the BBC, Ian has established himself as one of the most valued voices within the economics of emerging markets. He uses this platform to also deliver interesting and empowering motivational speeches where he combines his financial knowledge with his natural drive and determination to influence and inspire a whole host of audiences all across the world.
