Steve’s life has been tainted by adversity, faced with challenge after he became blind when he was just 12 years old. After his world was plunged into darkness and uncertainty, Steve developed a mentally resilient persona and has since gone on to achieve the incredible. Never letting his disability define him, Steve has made headlines as the World’s fastest blind man breaking the record for the 100m World Junior Blind sprint.
Passionate about sports, Steve has overcome great adversity to still follow his passion. He has since been part of the England Blind Football Team, the England Blind Cricket Eleven and the Golfing Handicap of 24. Motivated by his ability to break the record for the 100m blind sprint, Steve then went on to take the wheel of fast sportscars and break the world blind land speed record. He has also taken his talents to the air and waters, setting records on powerboats and claiming the title of the world’s first blind pilot.
Today, Steve is highly sought as a motivational speaker for corporate and public events. Truly inspirational, Steve does not let his disability define him, instead, he uses it as a power to encourage others to pursue a journey of success. He inspires individuals to break down barriers, create their own boundaries and not let their circumstances decide their futures. Previously, Steve has spoken for several top sporting clubs including the likes of the Bolton Wanderers FC, the England Rugby Team, Rotary International and Hasbro to name but a few. An honest and thought-provoking speaker, Steve is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on all audience members.
