Former Special Forces Sergeant, Jason Fox is an internationally renowned expert in covert operations, ranging from counter-terrorism to surveillance. Throughout a 20-year combat career which began aged 16, honed elite skills in mental resilience, leadership and succeeding under pressure. The Special Boat Services operative turned television presenter, has since gone to appear as an expert on the likes of SAS: Who Dares Wins, and capture the attention of audiences with his honest discussions on mental health. A veteran of the Forces, Jason dedicated two decades to military efforts, from joining as a teenager to working his way through the ranks of Royal Marine Commando and selection into the elite Special Services, where he became a member of the Special Boat Service. Jason's hair-raising experiences have involved hostage rescue and counter-narcotics in addition to extensive high-level training in demolitions. From his work as a combat swimmer which later supported the retrieval of pirate Captain Kidd’s treasure to a top-level dog handler leading the hounds into unknown territory, Jason’s military career was unbelievable.
However, following experiences such as fighting in Afghanistan and losing friends in combat, Jason suffered from PTSD after leaving the Forces. Overcoming his mental health battles led Jason to co-found Rock 2 Recovery, a charity that aims to help armed forces veterans and families battle stress and mental illness. As a motivational speaker and presenter, Jason has been open when discussing the impact of mental health and the strategies to improve it, both in people’s personal and professional lives.
Since 2012, Jason has gained a reputation in the television industry, where he utilised his survival expertise to support film crews in extreme conditions around the world including the Arctic, jungles, and deserts. It was in front of the camera where Jason truly made his name when he fronted, Meet The Drug Lords: Inside The Real Narcos, exploring drug cartel. In 2015, Jason joined the cast of SAS: Who Dares Wins on Channel 4 as a Directing Staff, alongside Ant Middleton, Jay Morton, and Ollie Ollerton, responsible for putting the public through a realistic Special Forces selection process, based on his experiences. He has also co-founded BreakPoint, which draws on his knowledge to train corporate teams on performance and management.
