Andy Wyatt joined the Royal Air Force aged just 18 years old. Exhibiting great flair for life in the air, he flew the English Electric Lightning, a supersonic Cold War-era fighter aircraft. During the Cold War, he was tasked with the dangerous assignment of intercepting Russian aircraft, a mission which he completed admirably.
